W E L C O M E ! Committed to the advancement of the archives and records management profession, the Society of Filipino Archivists, Inc. (SFA), through its continuing professional education program, has developed and implemented training courses for archivists, records managers, librarians and other information specialists. For the past ten (10) years (1993-2003), the Society has conducted basic courses in records management and archives administration. It has also focused on specialized and advanced courses in archives conservation, management of audiovisual archives and administration of diocesan and religious archives. As a direct result of these training programs, archives and records management functions are being institutionalized as distinct responsibilities in national and local government units as well as in academic, business, ecclesiastical and medical institutions.
